How much does a consumer unit upgrade cost?

Consumer unit upgrades start from £595 + VAT (£714 including VAT). The final price depends on the number of circuits and the condition of the existing wiring, and we confirm it in writing before any work starts.

How much does an EICR cost?

A domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) starts from £180 + VAT (£216 including VAT). Larger homes with more circuits take longer to test, so we will give you a fixed price once we know the size of the property.

Do landlords need an EICR?

Yes. In England, private landlords must have the electrical installation inspected and tested by a qualified person at least every five years. A copy of the report must go to existing tenants within 28 days, to new tenants before they move in, and to the local council within 7 days if it asks. Any remedial work must be done within 28 days, and councils can fine landlords up to £30,000 for breaches. We carry out landlord EICRs across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

How much does a home EV charger installation cost?

A domestic EV charger installation starts from £625 + VAT (£750 including VAT). The price depends on the distance between your consumer unit and the charger location and whether your supply needs any upgrading. We are OZEV approved chargepoint installers.

Is there a call-out charge?

Our call-out fee starts from £75 + VAT (£90 including VAT) within Milton Keynes. Outside Milton Keynes we will tell you the cost before we book the visit.

Can my business get a grant for EV chargers?

Yes. The government's Workplace Charging Scheme pays up to £500 per socket, covering up to 75% of the purchase and installation cost, for up to 40 sockets. Businesses, charities, public sector organisations and small accommodation businesses can apply. The scheme closes on 31 March 2027, and as approved installers we can help with the application.
